Why Hino's Got Isuzu Beat

Hino's and Isuzu

They might look similar, but everyone knows appearances can be deceiving. Hino trucks sets a new standard for delivering superior reliability, maximum fuel economy as well as safety and driver comfort. It's not just that Hino delivers a stronger, more durable frame, which is in fact 33% more resistant to bending than Isuzu, or an envious cab design offering spacious luxury. From everything to aerodynamics, speed and control, Hino trucks offer the driver a completely different and user-friendly experience than Isuzu ever has. See for yourself why Hino is the way to go when you consider buying your new truck.

Hino Is Built To Last

The underhood and chassis of your truck is arguably the most important part of your vehicle. Known as the skeleton, or shell, the chassis holds all of the other important components, like your engine, in place. If your chassis is poorly designed or faulty, be prepared to run into a hefty service bill a few months down the road. The Hino 195 is equipped with all-wheel disc brakes for efficient heat dissipation and effective braking. Isuzu still uses drum brakes on the rear axle, which fail to dissipate heat effectively and are prone to experiencing brake fade under heavy braking conditions Sounds scary, doesn't it? Imagine not being able to stop quickly and safely while making a delivery? Hino also offers a compact SCR system which sits below the frame rails, allowing it to provide greater body mounting flexibility. The Isuzu, on the otherhand, extends much further than hino's, creating interference along the frame rail. The Hino also features an optimal DEF tank which extends from the frame at 22 inches versus the Isuzu, at 24 ½ inches. Hino’s DEF tank is set 8 inches lower than the top of the frame rail for easy access to rerefill the tank. Isuzu’s DEF tank is set only 1 inch below the frame thereby creating more interference for body mounting and DEF rerefilling.

An Attractive And Comfortable Cab

The Hino 195 uses narrow A-pillars that are well positioned towards the outside of the field of view. The design of the side view mirrors helps to enhance the driver’s line of sight to the side. Isuzu’s wider A-pillar design means less visibility, making it harder for you to see what's coming up from the rear. The Hino windshield is also slightly more angled than Isuzu's and the shape of the Hino cabin has been tapered towards the front and the corner radius is now larger to improve aerodynamics. Both of these features help to enhance fuel eefficiency, all the while providing ample space inside the cabin. Getting in and out of your truck is a simple task that should be easy. The Hino 195 doors open a full 80 degrees, giving you plenty of room for smooth and easy cab entry/exit. The Isuzu doors open 90 degrees, making it very difficultcult to reach the door after getting into the cab (unless you've got yourself a set of extra long arms!). The Hino 195 also has a larger step than the Isuzu, so there's little chance of you tripping or injuring yourself.

Unlike the Isuzu, air conditioning comes standard inside every Hino truck. On hot and humid days, never worry about sacrificing your breathing and overall comfort level for the sake of a cheaper truck. The Hino 195 also features a standard driver’s magnetic suspension seat with armrest. Using reverse polarity magnets, the adjustable driver’s seat suspension system provides superb comfort. The high back seat is adjustable for rake and recline, making your cab the perfect spot to grab a few minutes of shut-eye before embarking on your next delivery. It seems obvious, but the Hino 195 also offers remote keyless entry, letting you lock and unlock your truck from a distance. The Isuzu simply does not have this advantage.
