Let’s join in on the celebrations before the games begin

The world's largest international multi-sports event (the Pan American Games) will be held at 30 different venues in 16 municipalities across the Golden Horseshoe communities,  July 10 to 26. With only 19 days left until the start of the Pan Am games it’s time to let the games begin with a torch relay in a city near you.

 

Join in on the Pre-Celebrations - Torch Relay

One more week from today until school is out and you need to know what to do with the kids at home. Why not get in on the pre-celebrations for the PanAm games, there is something to do in a city near you.  For more information on the ceremonies, be sure to check out the Official Interactive Map

June 22 - Hamilton, CFB Winnipeg, The Forks, Winnipeg, MB

 

Starts -

CIBC Hamilton Pan Am Soccer Stadium

Flame travels -  

  • CFB Winnipeg, Winnipeg City Hall

Ends -

Celebration at The Forks in downtown Winnipeg.

 

June 23 - Milton, Oakville, Brampton

 

Starts-  

  • Milton Sports Centre - a day celebration before visiting the Cisco Milton Pan Am/Parapan Am Velodrome

Flame travels -

  • Oakville
  • iFLY Toronto - a unique indoor skydiving experience where Quique Escamilla will perform.

Ends:

  • Brampton

 

June 24 - Brampton, Kleinburg, Woodbridge, Vaughan, Thornhill, Richmond Hill

 

Starts-

  • Brampton Lawn Bowling Club for a community celebration

Flame travels -

  • Vaughan City Hall - daytime celebration
  • The afternoon will see the flame ride the tallest roller coaster in Canada — Leviathan — at Canada’s Wonderland.

Ends -

  • Richmond Green Sports Centre & Park in Richmond Hill where Conjunto Lacalú will perform.

 

June 25 Richmond Hill, Aurora, King, Newmarket

Start -

  • The Pan Am flame will spend the morning visiting several schools in the York Region

Flame travels -

  • Lambert Wilson Park in Aurora for the community celebration.
  • School visits in the King City area

Ends -

  • Evening celebration at the Newmarket Riverwalk Commons where Quique Escamilla will perform.

 

June 26 - Newmarket, Sharon, Holland Landing, Bradford West Gwillimbury, Keswick, Mount Albert, Whitchurch-Stouffville

Starts -

  • Newmarket Health Centre

Flame travels -

  • Holland Landing and Sharon.
  • Bradford West Gwillimbury Leisure Centre - a day celebration.
  • Keswick and Mount Albert

Ends -

  • Whitchurch-Stouffville Memorial Park - evening celebration.

 

June 27 Markham, Unionville, Thornhill, Markham

Starts-

  • Cornell Community Centre

  • The Olympic cauldron at Montreal’s Olympic Park

Torch Travels -

  • Maurice Richard Arena.

Ends -

  • On this day, the flame will also participate in celebrations at the Toronto Pride Parade.

 

June 29 - CFB Petawawa

Canadian Forces Base Petawawa  -  community celebration.

 

June 30 - Gatineau, Ottawa

 

Starts -

  • Gatineau City Hall

Flame travels -

  • Rideau Hall,
  • Ottawa’s City Hall
  • Ottawa Sport Hall of Fame

Ends -

  • Sparks Street - community celebration  where Francesco Yates will perform.

 

July 1 - Ottawa, Kanata, Barrhaven

Happy Canada Day! The Pan Am flame will take part in several activities in Ottawa to celebrate and share the Pan Am spirit, including the noon show on Parliament Hill as well as celebrations at Walter Baker Park in Kanata and Clarke Fields Park in Barrhaven.

 

July 2 - Orléans, Carleton Place, Smiths Falls, Brockville, Gananoque, Kingston

Starts-

  • Shenkman Arts Centre in Orléans

Flame travels -

  • Smiths Falls - day celebration

Ends -

  • Fort Henry in Kingston - evening celebration.

 

July 3 - Calgary, AB, CFB Kingston, Kingston, Odessa, Napanee, Deseronto, Tyendinaga First Nation, Belleville

Starts -

  • Calgary Stampede Parade

Flame Travels -

  • Canada’s Sports Hall of Fame - community celebration.
  • Kingston area
  • Odessa Agricultural Society

Ends -

  • Belleville at West Zwick’s Island Park - and an evening celebration where Crystal Shawanda will perform.

 

July 4 - CFB Trenton, Trenton, Brighton, Colborne, Cobourg, Toronto

  • Ontario Celebration Zone (Harbourfront Centre) for the final community celebration before making its way to the Pan Am Opening Ceremony.

Before you begin with the Pre- Celebrations, make sure you have your tickets! With affordable and accessible pricing here is what the TORONTO 2015 Pan Am Games ticket program has to offer:

 

Tickets starting at $20, with 75% of tickets priced $45 and under.

For persons under 16 years of age, or 65 and over: 50% Off
